The QRP Amateur Radio Club International is the world’s largest organization for low-power amateur radio operators, with more than 16,000 members worldwide. QRP means operating at 5 watts or less — a constraint that turns out to be anything but limiting.
Low-power operating rewards skill over budget. When you complete a contact across an ocean with a radio you built yourself and a battery that fits in your pocket, the hobby takes on a whole new dimension. That’s the experience QRP ARCI exists to support and celebrate.
What membership includes:
- QRP Quarterly, our professional print and digital magazine packed with original construction projects, technical articles, and operating content
- Access to a full contest calendar — Spring and Fall QSO Parties, the Hoot Owl Sprint, Top Band Sprint, and more
- Invitation to Four Days in May (FDIM), the world’s premier QRP event, held each spring alongside the Dayton Hamvention
- A global community of homebrewers, kit builders, POTA/SOTA activators, CW operators, and portable radio enthusiasts
Whether you’re chasing DX on a milliwatt, building transceivers from scratch, or just getting started with QRP, there’s a place for you here.
Membership starts at $25/year. QRP ARCI is an affiliated club of the ARRL.

About half the length of the original, but retains the key proof points — membership size, magazine, contests, FDIM, and the philosophical hook. The bullet list does the heavy lifting for scannability without padding the prose.
